Tribal Nails!

Hi everyone! So I finally got around to doing tribal nails! :)

I started off with two coats of Bettina Clouds, which is seriously the best white I have ever used. All of the whites I have tried in the past are nasty, streaky, and look like I painted my nails with white out.  The formula on Clouds is amazing and smooth...  It's a "real" white but it's... soft... like, not as stark. It's amazing and so pretty...

Afterwards I sponged on a bunch of different colors and then stamped on a fun polynesian-esque tribal print.

Thanks so much for reading and let me know what you think!

NOTD: OPI Wocka Wocka+Excuse Moi!

Hi everyone! Quick NOTD, I am going to a Christmas party later and wanted something festive and glittery on my tips :)

Wocka Wocka is officially my new favorite red. The formula is so buttery smooth, it's seriously opaque, and dry time is fast! WW is your perfect "glowy" red. It has very fine micro shimmer. This is two thin coats.

Afterwards I layered two coats of Excuse Moi! on top. A gorgeous pink glitter

Just for fun I added a Santa belly on my thumb. It is kind of sloppy but I still like it! Thinking about doing a full manicure...

Anyway, I hope you like it and be sure to let me know what you think!

Christmas Nail Art Series: Christmas Pudding

Hi everyone!! Today's nails were inspired by one of Indigonova1's tutorials.

First of all, I apologize for the lighting, it was cloudy all day :(

I started off with a purple color. Bettina Haze is a gorgeous light lavender/lilac color. I love it!! Formula was nice, dry time was fair, and it dried shiny! This is three thin coats.

Then taking a brown color I drew a semi circle. After I took a random white and using a dotting tool, I outlined the brown and while the white was still wet, I dragged it down in some areas. I then took a red and put two dots, then took a green and made little leaves.... well, they don't really look like leaves :/

So there you have it!! Christmas pudding topped with some berries! :)

  • Base Color: Bettina Haze
  • Brown: Bettina #195
  • White: Wet N Wild White
  • Red: Bettina #156
  • Green: OPI Jade is the New Black

Christmas Nail Art Series: Gingerbread Men

Hi everyone! Today I got to try out my first Color Clubs(:

Red-ical Gypsy is a stunner. It's a gorgeous red with perhaps some beet colored undertones... so pretty! The formula on this was perfect. It almost had a jelly consistency to it, it also dried super shiny. This is two coats.

Then I stamped on cute little gingerbread men using a silver chrome polish. I wanted to use a gold one but sadly, I don't have a stamp-able gold :( Afterwards, using a toothpick, I dotted little green dots for the "gumdrop buttons" :)

I was hoping it would be a bit more Christmas-y but I still like the way it turned out! Despite having to use silver. What about you??

10 Day Challenge: Day 6

Hi everyone! I have some really exciting news! I have officially reached 400 followers! :D Thanks everyone! You guys rawk! In other news, something really sad happened yesterday. My nail broke. I was walking around and noticed that my nail seemed really square. I then realized it had been snapped!! Then, being the stupid person I am, I fiddled with it resulting in a really ugly nubbin. Despite my nubbin, I hope you enjoy my take on today's challenge :)

I don't know if anybody else noticed Ashley Bensons awesome nails in the September issue of Seventeen Magazine. I have been wanting to recreate them for the longest time but never got around to it. I figured now was the perfect opportunity.

I started off painting one half of the nail red, and the other half white. Then I stamped a fish scale (?) image off a Bundle Monster french tip plate. I stamped a different image on the other half. Afterwards I added little red polka dots on one half. Topped it all of with one coat of Pro-FX. Afterwards I noticed that on my red side, the "design" was black instead of red. Ashley's were red instead of black. Oh well, I don't have a stamp-able red anyway :P And on top of that, I ran out of my usual black so I had to use my backup one which isn't that opaque :/

Here is a pic of the nails:

Overall, even though they didn't turn out exactly the same, I think they look decent(: What about you??

Bet It All On OPI

A couple of weeks ago, my "boss" (I help out at her store) gave me some of her old nail polishes. One of them was Bet It All On OPI, an amazing red/orange.

Bet It All On OPI is a "black label" which I think means it's not 3-free. I am not sure though, if I am wrong, feel free to correct me(: I thought this would be a jelly polish just because it looked sheer on the brush, but it went on surprisingly opaque. The formula on this was perfection (maybe because it's 3-free??).

As you can tell, Bet It All On OPI is a fiery red/orange shade. It's perfect for summer. This polish dries really shiny so I didn't apply a top coat. This is 2 buttery smooth coats.

Does anybody happen to know if they still sell this?? Just curious...

Oh, BTW, I just found this post explaining the different labels, if you want to read it, click (HERE)

TOTD (Thumb of the Day ^_^)

Hi everyone :) So right now my current mani is OPI's Take the Stage, but for some reason I wanted a design on my thumb. So ya, my thumb is now different from all of my fingers, not both thumbs, just one lol. Also, sorry about the bad picture, it was the only one I took :P Well, that's it for today, thank you so much for stopping bye!!!! ^_^

New Polishes+Swatch: The Show Must Go On!

Hi everyone, these are the new nail polishes that I got for Christmas :)

Revlon Minted

 OPI Little Teasers (Burlesque Collection)

Here is a swatch of "The Show Must Go On!"

Isn't it gorgeous?? The Show Must Go On! a very pretty... red-ish pink/coral/orang-y color (If that makes sense lol). It's very duochrome-y. Think Mac Bad Fairy.... except lighter. Anyways, this polish is absolutely stunning, definitely worth checking out :) Well, those are the polishes I got for Christmas, did you get any nail polish??

P.S. I redid my nail polish collection tab, so be sure to check that out :)

Candy Cane Nails

Hi everyone :) Yesterday I decided to paint my nails in a candy cane design. Not sure how I feel about these yet...

The thumb is my favorite :)

So ya, not sure how I feel about it... also, I know the tape job isn't very good, but it was my first time :)
I think the thumb turned out the best. Also, if my nails were a 'lil but longer (like my thumb) I think it would have turned out better, what do you think??

  • Stripe Color: OPI Red My Fortune Cookie

Swatch: Hello Kitty Red

Hey everybody!! So today I have a swatch of a red Hello Kittty polish:

When I tried this, I was really surprised that it dried matte!! What's really weird though is that it has a bumpy texture (do mattes usually have that??)... it looks like... a "frosted" plastic... for example, the bottom of a plastic container is "frosty" and the texture is kind of bumpy?? Well, ya, that is what this polish looks like. Anyways, I usually don't wear red just because I don't like the way it looks on me, so I was planning to see if it worked for stamping, just because it was opaque in 1 coat (but I still used 2 lol) I thought it would work for Konad stamping.

Anyways, that's it for today, thank you so much for stopping bye :)
