Revlon Minted+Stamping

Hi everyone! Quick post today! And then I'm off to a birthday party.

I started off with two coats of a mint color and then stamped on a cool pattern using a silver. It kind of looks like 'perfect crackling'. I really like this... very Spring-y :)

In other news be sure to vote in my poll. Thanks so much for reading and let me know what you think :)

Shabby Drab and Polka Dots!

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! :) I'm probably just going to stay home and read The Hunger Games and eat chocolate but I thought I would do my nails anyway :P

So I guess it's not the most Valentine-y but I didn't really want to do hearts or anything so I just went with some pastel polka dots!

I started off with two coats of Color Club Shabby Drab, a gorgeous dusty periwinkle color! Like seriously, it's gorgeous! Formula was awesome (despite being a tad bit water-y), dry time was fast and this baby dried shiny! This is two effortless coats.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading and let me know what you think! Happy Valentine's Day! :)

xoxo

Color Club New Bohemian + Revlon Whimsical

Hi! So I was at Longs the other day and I stopped by the Revlon display and it was packed full with Whimsicals along with a whole bunch of awesome colors. I snatched it up immediately. I was so excited!!  I couldn't wait to try it :)

I started off with two coats of Color Club New Bohemian, which is basically the same color as China Glaze For Audrey... but I want to say NB is maybe just a pinch greener but it's not as green as in the pictures, haha... Let me know if you want a comparison. Formula was a little runny but nothing horrible. Application was patchy on the first coat but evened out by the second. Dry time was average. This is two coats.

Whimsical is really sheer, which is why I layered it over NB. The glitter is kind of sparse and you have to sort of place it where you want it. But besides that, application was fine. It's very pretty. There is pink and blue hexagonal glitter, along with reflective micro glitter all suspended in a light milky blue base. Dry time was average. This is two coats.

I am so happy! I have officially bought my first Deborah Lippmann dupe, hahaha. It's gorgeous! I have been really into glitter lately... In other news, I didn't get to take photos until like 4:00 PM, and I usually like to take photos at 12:00 because the natural lighting is always nice. But I was crazy busy today... I got a little side job as a helper and the hours are always during my "blog hours" :( Oh well, I'll make it work ^_^

Anyway, thank you so much for reading and be sure to let me know if you picked up any of the Revlon dupes :)

10 Day Challenge: Day 10

Welcome to the last day of the challenge! It's kind of a bittersweet moment... I also wanted to give a big thanks to Marketta who came up with the challenge! It was a blast coming up with all these manicures and thanks everyone for you nice comments :) Anyway, today's challenge was ombre nails. I wasn't sure if I was going to do actual ombre's or do a gradient. I decided on actual ombre just because I thought it would be fun and I haven't done one before.

I decided to go with a green ombre! I was going to do a purple one but I'll do that next time :) I guess it's not the best ombre in the world... it's kind of "choppy". I don't have that many of the same shade though just because when I buy polish, I try to make sure it's unique. For the pinky, I put a swipe of China Glaze Tree Hugger and then quickly went over it with Revlon Minted so it's a bit more green. Also, I am very stupid because I just realized that most people just add white to their polish. Oh well. Too late now, haha.

Here is a quick pic of the polishes I used, names will be listed below:

Thanks so much for reading and I'll have a 10 Day Challenge recap up tomorrow! A big thankyou goes to Jessica for asking me to do the challenge with her(: Be sure to check out and follow her blog! It's a really great blog:)

Be sure to check out Jessica's take on today's challenge!

Mermaid Tears Comparison Post

While I was applying Mermaid Tears the other day (HERE) I noticed that it looked similar to NOPI My Lifesaver and Revlon Minted. I thought it would be fun to do a comparison post so here it is(:

As you can see both My Lifesaver and Minted look similar to Mermaid Tears in the bottle, but on the nail, it's a whole different story...

Ring: Mermaid Tears, Pinky: Minted

Please excuse my dinged nails lol... I was moving around a lot. Overall, My Lifesaver was closer to Mermaid Tears than Minted was, but it's still not a dupe. In the same color family, but there was just a hint of more blue in it. Not to mention more vibrant. Minted was a couple shade lighter than the OPI color, I was expecting that though.

I also wanted to mention that My Lifesaver is a little less blue/vibrant in real life... it's more like the bottle picture.

Revlon Minted+M65

After yesterdays half-fail, I decided to try again. This is what I came up with, simple, but cute. It's not the best I have ever done but you know... it's nice enough to look at for a couple days.

Let me know if you like it :)

Revlon Minted+NOTD

Probably my most favorite mint green polish is Revlon's Minted

NOTD... simple, I know :P

Minted is a GORGEOUS mint/pastel green. The application was extremely patchy on the first coat, got better on the second, and perfect on the third. Dry time is fairly fast. I also wanted to mention that I got the rhinestones from a CVS store. Oh, and Minted is a tad bit more green.

Do you own Minted?

New Polishes+Swatch: The Show Must Go On!

Hi everyone, these are the new nail polishes that I got for Christmas :)

Revlon Minted

 OPI Little Teasers (Burlesque Collection)

Here is a swatch of "The Show Must Go On!"

Isn't it gorgeous?? The Show Must Go On! a very pretty... red-ish pink/coral/orang-y color (If that makes sense lol). It's very duochrome-y. Think Mac Bad Fairy.... except lighter. Anyways, this polish is absolutely stunning, definitely worth checking out :) Well, those are the polishes I got for Christmas, did you get any nail polish??

P.S. I redid my nail polish collection tab, so be sure to check that out :)
