Hi! So I was tagged by Jessica AKA Luv My lacquer to do this fun random question post(: Thanks Jessica! Ok, so this is probably going to be a long so I'm just going to go ahead and get started :)

Ok, so question number one....

1. Theatre or Cinema? Why?
Where I live, there aren't any theatre shows (although once in a while there is a play, I love plays) so I guess I would have to say Cinema. I love going to the movies though, whether it be with family or friends :)

2. If you had to choose whether to invest your money into a great concert or some kind of commodity, which one would you choose?
Concert for sure! I have only been to a couple concerts but the bands are super small so you've probably never heard of them, haha. I live on Kauai so nobody comes here >.> My taste in music is literally all over the place so I'm not sure who's concert I would go too....

3. The most memorable concert you've ever attended
I went to this all girls conference called Believe sometime last year (I think) and this band played called Goodbye Elliot. The music was ok but it the conference was really good and my friends and I were having a good time. I just remember it being really fun. I've probably only been to like 3 concerts so I don't have any interesting story's to tell :P

4. A movie or tv series that always cheers you up
IDK about a movie, but I watch tv shows religiously, haha. For ones that cheer me up (the other ones are super intense) would have to be... Modern Family and Hart of Dixie. I watch a LOT of shows but those are my two favorites in the "easy to watch/makes me happy" category :)

5.  Nightstand Book Of The Moment
Pretty Little Liars "Twisted".

6. A Movie That You Last Saw?
I saw "In Time" with Kelsey. It was an overall good movie. The plot was interesting, acting wasn't horrible. I liked it a lot!

7. How Much Do You Follow Trends
Never. I wear whatever I want, when I want. I dress pretty casual. Abercrombie denim and tee shirts most of time.

8. Something That Has Been A Hobby Of Yours For A Long Time
Reading. I love to read. I also make jewelry (did that for three years) except lately I haven't had the time :/

9. A Drink That Goes With A Cozy Evening
Hot Chocolate for sure! I love eating a nice meal, drinking that afterwards and watching a good TV show :)

10. Do You Laugh A Lot?
Maybe a little too much. I am the "crazy/weird" one of the group. I just love to hang loose and have a good time. And I love to make my friends laugh. Ya. I'm strange. >.>

11. If You Could Choose A Decade To Live In Which One Would It Be? Why?
Ok, since I am bad with decades and stuff, I am going to use movies as a reference. Ok, I would love to live in "old england". I really like the way they dressed Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downy Jr. one) and in the recent Alice In Wonderland movie. I just love that kind of clothing and I wish you could wear that now-a-days. But here, you would be frowned upon, haha. I also love the way the dress in that movie Captain America and Hairspray.

Also, I watch this show called The Wonder Years and I would really love to live in that time. Life just looked and seemed easier and more laid back and less intense, haha.

12. Is There A TV Show You Watch Regularly? If So, Which One?
I watch a ton of TV shows and when one takes a break to film some more episodes, more come out. But my ones as of this moment would have to be Grimm, Once Upon A Time, Hart Of Dixie, Secret Circle, Up All Night, Modern Family, and there might be 2 more but I can't remember.... but the one that I watch almost every day is Everybody Hates Chris.

13. Would you prefer a lying-on-the-beach-vacation or a vacation full of sightseeing? 

Both! I would love to lay on the beach (with friends of course!!) but I would probable get bored of that so maybe put in a couple sight seeing trips (and the mall) and I would be happy :) 


14. An idealistic climate for you?
I really like the climate here, but I wish it snowed. I love cold weather!! And cold weather fashion :)

NOTD: Zoya Shawn

I finally got to wear Shawn again! :)

I started off with two buttery smooth coats of Zoya's Shawn and then stamped on this fun swirly pattern.

So yup, super quick post! I hoped you liked nonetheless :)

Glitter Gal Frappe

I finally got my first Glitter Gal and it did not disappoint :)

 

Frappe is stunning. It's a light pink with some lavender undertones packed with holographic particles.
*drool*. This was on the sheer side so I used three coats, thank god it dried fast!

Frappe is also super pretty in the shade. Unlike China Glaze 2Nite it even sparkled when it wasn't in the sun! It's definitely a lot more muted than I thought it would be... but I still love it. It's such a pretty color, it looks super clean and "delicate" on the nails :)

I also wanted to mention that this wears pretty well. I didn't apply a topcoat (people say your not supposed to use a top coat with holo's... or at least the Nfu-Oh and China Glaze ones) and it's day three now and there is no tipwear, no chipping, and it's still super shiny! AND, these nails went through intense video editing, unpacking boxes and packages, water, the list goes on and on!

Overall I love this polish so much! It's gorgeous! Do you own any Glitter Gals?

Guest Post: Luv My Lacquer Water Marble!

Hi(: Today I have something really special to share with you, a guest post! Jessica is a lovely gal who usually shares her manicures through Twitter, but she just made a blog! YAY!! I asked her to do a guest post for me and she said yes, here it is(:

Hello everyone! My name is Jessica & today I will be guest posting for Kelly. I have been following her blog and twitter for some time now and was really excited that she liked my Halloween CandyCorn Gradient watermarble which you all can see here (http://twitpic.com/78l5m6). I was really happy that she liked it so much and even happier when she asked if I can do a guest post for her! This is my first guest post and I hope you guys enjoy it =)

To prepare for this post I knew I wanted to do a water marble again but I wanted to make it really special for Kelly. I was looking through this blog and saw a post where she mentioned her favorite colors were turquoise and purple. I also noticed that she is a lover of Bettina nail polishes so I chose to use Aqua & Secret Garden for this mani. To begin, I used a thin coat of Milani's Smoothe Base Coat. I wanted to use a white base to make sure the colors pop so I chose Zoya's Snow White and applied a single coat of that. Usually, I wait for my base color to dry and use tape to protect my fingers from getting messy and full of nail polish while marbling, but, since I couldn't find it I decided to try something I have read about before. I used Eucerin Aquaphor (petroleum jelly or Vaseline works, too) to protect my fingers.

After I applied the Eucerin, I began to build my bullseye of polish in the water. When you water marble, it is best to use room temperature filtered water. I always keep a bottle of water with my polishes. For my bullseye, I used Bettina Aqua & Bettina Secret Garden. After building up my bullseye I used the tip of my orange wood stick to draw my design in the water. You will need napkin or paper towel handy when doing your designs so that you can wipe the excess polish off of the end of the stick as you go along.

Once I find part of the design I like I dip my finger in the water and use my orange wood stick to pick up the paint that didn't get used on my nail. Once that is all cleaned up I slowly raise my finger out of the water. I used cotton balls soaked in nail polish remover to remove the excess polish. (By the way, I think I like the Eucerin better than tape. It came off so easily!)

And this is what my mani looked like after I was done! I really liked the way it came out & hope that you all enjoyed this post. Kelly, I tried my best to incorporate some of the things you love for this one and I hope you like it! <33

OPI Warm and Fozzie

Hi everyone(: Today I have a quick NOTD.....

So I don't think this color looks all that great on me, but it's seriously gorgeous so I'll wear it anyway, haha.

Warm and Fozzie is a stunning brown/bronze color packed with gold, brown, green, and maybe even some pink/raspberry shimmer. This polish also has a slight duo-chrome to it... which as you can see I didn't take a photo of.... I guess I forgot. Anyway, it shifts from bronze to an "olive" green. It's sheer but builds up nicely. Drying time was average. This is two coats.

I got the Muppet mini's so I have three other colors to show you. Grr! I can't believe I forgot to take duo-chrome photos! I had to rush into town and then I had a sleepover, and then I didn't realize it until the next day! Oh well :/ I guess you'll just have to trust me :)

Angry Bird Nails!

Lately I have been experimenting with free hand nail art. And since I love Angry Birds so much I thought it would be fun to do some Angry Bird nails! :)

To achieve these awesome nails, I followed (THIS) tutorial by Cutepolish. Despite by slight smearing, I think this turned out pretty good. What about you??

Have you tried any of Cutepolish's tutorials before??

Readers Request: Fall Mani + Rising Star

Hi again(: Today's mani is another reader's request. She asked for a fall mani using gold and orange. What better way to combine colors than a gradient! :)

Wow. That was a lot of photo's. Ok. So I have been meaning to swatch Rising Star for the longest time but I never got around to it because gold doesn't look that great on me :/ But when this request came along, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. Rising Star is a gorgeous orange based gold. Very "warm". It's a foil. This was surprisingly opaque so I only needed two thin coats. Dry time was fast.

For the manicure, I started off with two coats of Rising Star, sponged on three coats of Take The Stage! (I posted two photos of what that combo looked like) and then very lightly sponged on one or two coats (I can't remember) of The Show Must Go On!.
