OPI Jade Is The New Black vs. Bettina Mojito

I was always hesitant to get Mojito because I wasn't sure how similar it was to Jade Is The New Black. Turns out they are not dupes, but I thought I would do a comparison post anyway, just in case anyone else was wondering(:

Obviously, JitNB is a lot darker. Also, it has more of a blue/teal base rather than a yellow base like the Bettina polish. They are similar in the bottle though. Both have amazing formula's and dry time. This is two coats with one coat of Bettina top coat.

Thoughts??

It really made my happy(: My personal favorite would have to be day 8, no words can describe how much I loved my Up nails... I was sad to take them off. On another note, this challenge allowed me to experiment with free hand nail art which is something you guys will hopefully see more of :)

10 Day Challenge: Day 10

Welcome to the last day of the challenge! It's kind of a bittersweet moment... I also wanted to give a big thanks to Marketta who came up with the challenge! It was a blast coming up with all these manicures and thanks everyone for you nice comments :) Anyway, today's challenge was ombre nails. I wasn't sure if I was going to do actual ombre's or do a gradient. I decided on actual ombre just because I thought it would be fun and I haven't done one before.

I decided to go with a green ombre! I was going to do a purple one but I'll do that next time :) I guess it's not the best ombre in the world... it's kind of "choppy". I don't have that many of the same shade though just because when I buy polish, I try to make sure it's unique. For the pinky, I put a swipe of China Glaze Tree Hugger and then quickly went over it with Revlon Minted so it's a bit more green. Also, I am very stupid because I just realized that most people just add white to their polish. Oh well. Too late now, haha.

10 Day Challenge: Day 9

Welcome to day 9! Getting close to the finish line :) Ok, so today's challenge was so use your favorite color combo.

Ok, so one of my favorite color combo's is blue and silver. I opted for something super simple.

I started off with 2 effortless coats of Bettina Aqua and then using a silver polish, I stamped on a fishnet pattern. I love fishnet patterns... they always turn out nice :)

Darn! Aqua is so hard to capture :( This is not color accurate at all. It's way more green. And I am not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but the silver stamping looks a bit gold... I love it!! :D

10 Day Challenge: Day 8

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 8 of the challenge. Today's nails are supposed to be inspired by a movie.

Up is one of my most favorite movies of all time so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. These nails were inspired by the scene where Mr. Fredricksen and Russel are just taking off and they are in the sky.

 On the ring finger I have a ton of balloons and then on the middle and pinky finger, I have a little more balloons then the sky and some clouds. For the sky/clouds, I started off with one coat of Bettina Vintage Jean then sponged on some white. For the balloons, using a big dotting tool, I would dot a couple colors, then take a smaller dotting tool and drag the polish a little bit down so the shape would be more "balloon-ey". I did that about 2-3 times using different colors. Topped it all off with one coat of Pro-FX.
