Guest Post: Jessica from Luv My Lacquer

Hi everyone! I have a second guest post from Jessica, AKA Luv My Lacquer(: I asked her to do a post last week but she was busy and couldn't. Then bam! Surprise post from her, thanks Jessica you RAWWWK.
~
Hello Lacquer Luvers! I am absolutely delighted to be guest posting for Ms. Kelly again!

For my manicure today, I used a gorgeous blue polish - OPI DS Magic. This stunner is a blue/purple duochrome that is full of glass flecks. It's absolutely amazing in person. Unfortunately, my camera didn't pick up the duochromeness of this polish as much as I would have liked. If you look on the sides of the nail you can see it turning purple a bit. I applied one coat of Essie Grow Faster for my base and two coats of DS Magic to reach full opacity.

For nail art, I stamped on my absolute favorite image. It comes from a nail stamping plate set that you can purchase from BornPrettyStore. M72 has three different sizes of the same image on it & it's a design I use quite frequently. These flowers were stamped onto my nails using Konad Special Stamping Polish in white. I topped my manicure off with Essie's Good To Go fast dry topcoat.

Kelly, I hope you love this manicure just as much as I do. I had a great time creating it & had fun doing this post for you. Thanks for reading Lacquer Luvers & I hope you all are having a fantastic day!

Holy cow that color is gorgeous!! And I love the placement of the stamps! So cute! I love it! Thank you so much Jessica!!

Thanks so much for reading and be sure to check out her blog Luv My Lacquer! It's awesome!

Nicole by OPI Kendell on the Katwalk

Hi everyone! I'm back! If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you would know I broke my nails while at camp. I just started picking at them and the slowly by slowly, I broke all of them right down to the nub. I have been spending the past couple weeks just trying to grow them out stronger and healthier. I have had absolutely no nail polish. Believe it or not, I actually really enjoyed it. I didn't have to worry about changing my nails every couple days or updating my blog. It was very relaxing, and I got to take a much needed break (no pun intended). But I didn't want to not update my blog at all so I had a couple guest posters (Rie, Cristina, and Sarah). Anyway, I wanted to start off the new year with a stunning polish so I went with Kendell on the Katwalk. A lemming of mine I finally fulfilled.

ZOMG guys. KotK is gorgeous. Kendell on the Katwalk is packed to the brim with blue, green, and purple glitter inside a sheer blue base. I love it. The glitter is pretty dense, dry time was a little above average. It dried a bit gritty so I put a thick layer of TC over it. This is two thick coats and one thin coat.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading and be sure to let me know what colors you picked up from the Kardashian Kolors collection :)

Guest Post: Sarah from Chalkboard Nails!

Hi everyone!! Another exciting and gorgeous guest for you! This time it's from the wonderful and amazing Sarah from Chalkboard Nails!
~
Hello! I'm so happy to be visiting on Kelly's beautiful blog!

This manicure began with a gorgeous Love and Beauty glitter polish that I picked up at Forever 21. It is a clear base polish with silver, black and red hex glitter. Black glitter is one of my favorite things in the world, so this polish called out to me! It doesn't have a proper name, though, as many of the Love and Beauty polishes don't, and this one is just known as "Red/Black."

I had to find a polish that would work as a nice base color for the glitter. I thought about white, I thought about a light creme gray… eventually I settled on Color Club Revvvolution because of it's textured appearance. Revvvolution is a faintly holo charcoal-colored polish, and one of my favorites to boot because it applies like a dream with great coverage. I applied two coats of that for good measure, though I could have gotten away with one.

Then I applied a good spattering of Red/Black (seriously… the worst name ever), which was pretty decent in terms of application for a glitter! I included a picture of the manicure at this "shiny" stage, but the real show is seeing the look MATTIFIED! I busted out the Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love, because it provides a super matte finish without the shrinkage that I have experienced with other matte topcoats.

Thank you for listening, and thanks to Kelly for having me stop by! I had a lot of fun deciding what to do for this post, and I hope you have enjoyed it! Matte glitter is great. It's a fact.

*DROOL* I seriously need more glitter in my life. This is stunning! Reminds me of koi fish swimming around... lol... is that weird??

Thank you so much Sarah for guest posting for me! I really appreciate it! And that layering combo is just beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing it with me :)

Thanks for reading and be sure to check out Sarah's blog, Chalkboard Nails, for more breathtaking mani's!

Guest Post! Cris from Let Them Have Polish!

Hi everyone! I have a very exciting post today from Cristina over at Let Them Have Polish!
~
Hi lovely people!

I am so happy to be here today. I remember when I first started blogging Kelly was one of my first followers. Actually we started blogging around the same time and we were pretty much some of each other's followers. Today I am showing you guys an AMAZING polish by Essence that came to me all the way from the Netherlands. This stunner pretty much squashed my lemming for Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe. Should I stop blabbing now and let you guys drool over these pictures??

This amazing beauty is a deep Navy Blue jelly base packed full of small Royal Blue glitter and the most magnificent of Light Blue and Green hexagonal glitters. I really love these Essence Color & Go polishes and really wish the entire line was sold in the U.S. Anywho, back to the awesomesauce... Blue Addicted could not be a better name for this glitter/jelly. This color has a really nice formula and is fully opaque at Three thin coats. I love how the glitter looks like it's swimming in this polish and that effect just cannot be beat in my book. Isn't this just so amazing!!?

I am seriously so happy to have this in my collection. Slowly but surely I've managed to get my hands on so many inexpensive Deborah Lippmann dupes... Next in my radar... Revlon's Whimsical

A huge thanks to Kelly for having me here today!!

Beautiful post, Cristina! Across the Universe is also a major lemming that I wish to squash, same with Whimsical. Gorgeous swatches! Doesn't Cris have the best swatches?? *DROOL*

Anyway, thanks so much for reading! Be sure to check out Let Them Have Polish, one of the most amazing blogs in the world, for more stunning swatches and gorgeous nail art! And a big thanks to Cris for doing a guest post for me :)

Guest Post: Rie from Nails and Noms!

Hi everyone! So I have a guest post for you today from one of my most favorite bloggers ever! EVAR!
~

I was super thrilled when Kelly asked me to do a guest post for her blog! It gave me a good excuse to bust out my Red Angel stamping plates. I decided to use plate RA-107 again. Last time I used it I stamped with metallic polish. I wanted to try stamping with some of my multi chromatic polishes this time. I'm pretty thrilled with the results! :-D

I used A England Camelot as my base color. And for the stamp I used Ozotic 520, Ozotic 507 and Ludurana Reluz. If you click the pictures you can view the originally sized images. ^_^
~
*DROOL* Holy cow, Rie, this is absolutely stunning. Be sure to click the picture to see it full size and so you can see all of it's multi-chromatic goodness :)

In other news, if you follow me on Twitter or FB you would know that my nails broke at camp. Just wanted to let you all know they are almost ready. I have a couple more guest posts and hopefully by then they will be a decent length :)

Anyway, a big thank you to Rie AKA Nails and Noms for this wonderful post! Be sure to check out her blog and show her some love!! :)
