I'm Back!!!

Hi everyone! I haven't blogged in the LONGEST time, and I'm so sorry for that. I'll explain why in a minute, but for now, here is my latest mani! Enjoy!

Yikes! I know this super uggo and messy in the pictures but it looks a lot better in real life :/

Ok, now for the update; I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging at all lately. It's been like... a month or something :/ So, for the first week of my absence, I was just so busy with school and everything, I didn't have any time to do my nails. When school finally died down, there was a horrible storm here that lasted for two weeks! It was horrible! It rained day and night, bridges closed (Kalihiwai bridge was closed for four days!), there were landslides (they had to cut into the mountain so they could make a detour!) and there was flash floods everywhere! There was a soccer field, and it turned into a lake! Seriously! People were paddle boarding in the streets! It was crazy! It even hailed here! After the rain and the storms finally passed, I went to Oahu for a conference. I was gone for four days. I was going to go see The Hunger Games and I had them epic flame nails in mind (remember Katniss went into the arena still wearing her flame nails) but my nails broke a week before so I just ended up not doing them because they would look weird on short nails. (It's actually quite annoying how often my nails break, they are so flimsy!) Anyway, I'm back now, my nails are long enough to paint (excluding my middle finger, but anyway) so I'm going to slowly start getting back into blogging!! Thankyou to everyone who has been so patient with me! I appreciate it!

In other news, I'll be posting a poll later today or tomorrow, along with an update on what's happening with my 500 follower giveaway. So be sure to read that! It explains everything that's going on at the moment.

Oh! And did you see The Hunger Games yet? I am the BIGGEST Hunger Games fan so I was so excited for the movie, I was planning to do my flame nails, my hair in a braid, and wear my mockingjay pin (I actually only ended up wearing my pin :/), but I want to know your thoughts on the movie! I liked but the beginning was kind of slow and different from the book. The arena scenes were great, but they left out the Peeta and Katniss river scene :( I started literally sobbing when Rue died. But overall, it was an ok movie, not fantastic, but then again the book was so fantastic I had high expectations, haha. My friends loved it though... but I want to know what you guys thought!

Anyway, thank you so much for reading! Happy Hump Day! :D

New Poll+Giveaway Update!

Hi! So for starters, I have a new poll. But before I talk about that, I wanted to give you an update on what's happening with my 500 follower giveaway. Ok, so, I have three prizes so far and I am going to get  2 Zoya's. But! There is a new collection coming out and I was wondering if you would like me to wait and get two polishes from their summer collection, or two polishes from a collection that's already out (their spring collection perhaps?).

So yea! Let me know whether or not you want me to wait for the new collection coming out, or just buy something now. Be sure to get your vote in before 3/31/12. You can find the poll box to the right of this post, or below my tab bar on the right.

Thanks so much for voting!

NOTD: OPI Who The Shrek Are You?

Hi! Here is my mani that I have been wearing the past couple of days...

I sat down in my little "polish station" and for some reason Who The Shrek Are You really spoke to me. Anywho, this is two coats, but on my right hand (not pictured) I used three. Formula was better than I remember. The first coat was streaky but the second was fine. On my right hand I got bald spots so that's why I applied a third coat. Dry time was fast.

Thanks so much for reading! What are you wearing on your tips today??

Bettina Orion

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous layering combo to show you(:

This is so pretty!! It's so fun, subtle, and sparkly and it reminds me of fairy dust, haha. I started off with two effortless coats of Bettina #4 and then applied one coat of Bettina Orion, which is an extremely sheer polish packed with micro glass/glitter flecks all floating inside a translucent soft pink base. It flashes mostly silver and a soft pink, but you can spot a random purple glitter particle every once in a while :) I also wanted to mention that Orion is sheer enough to layer over other colors (besides pink)
without changing the base color too much.

If only you could see this in real life....

Anyway, thank you so much for reading and be sure to let me know what you think!
