10 Day Challenge: Day 9

Welcome to day 9! Getting close to the finish line :) Ok, so today's challenge was so use your favorite color combo.

Ok, so one of my favorite color combo's is blue and silver. I opted for something super simple.

I started off with 2 effortless coats of Bettina Aqua and then using a silver polish, I stamped on a fishnet pattern. I love fishnet patterns... they always turn out nice :)

Darn! Aqua is so hard to capture :( This is not color accurate at all. It's way more green. And I am not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but the silver stamping looks a bit gold... I love it!! :D

Thanks so much for reading and be sure to check back tomorrow for day 10! The last day!

10 Day Challenge: Day 8

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 8 of the challenge. Today's nails are supposed to be inspired by a movie.

Up is one of my most favorite movies of all time so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. These nails were inspired by the scene where Mr. Fredricksen and Russel are just taking off and they are in the sky.

On the ring finger I have a ton of balloons and then on the middle and pinky finger, I have a little more balloons then the sky and some clouds. For the sky/clouds, I started off with one coat of Bettina Vintage Jean then sponged on some white. For the balloons, using a big dotting tool, I would dot a couple colors, then take a smaller dotting tool and drag the polish a little bit down so the shape would be more "balloon-ey". I did that about 2-3 times using different colors. Topped it all off with one coat of Pro-FX.

Thanks so much for reading and be sure to let me know what you think! :)

Mario mushrooms! So cute right?

10 Day Challenge: Day 6

Hi everyone! I have some really exciting news! I have officially reached 400 followers! :D Thanks everyone! You guys rawk! In other news, something really sad happened yesterday. My nail broke. I was walking around and noticed that my nail seemed really square. I then realized it had been snapped!! Then, being the stupid person I am, I fiddled with it resulting in a really ugly nubbin. Despite my nubbin, I hope you enjoy my take on today's challenge :)

I don't know if anybody else noticed Ashley Bensons awesome nails in the September issue of Seventeen Magazine. I have been wanting to recreate them for the longest time but never got around to it. I figured now was the perfect opportunity.

I started off painting one half of the nail red, and the other half white. Then I stamped a fish scale (?) image off a Bundle Monster french tip plate. I stamped a different image on the other half. Afterwards I added little red polka dots on one half. Topped it all of with one coat of Pro-FX. Afterwards I noticed that on my red side, the "design" was black instead of red. Ashley's were red instead of black. Oh well, I don't have a stamp-able red anyway :P And on top of that, I ran out of my usual black so I had to use my backup one which isn't that opaque :/

Here is a pic of the nails:

Overall, even though they didn't turn out exactly the same, I think they look decent(: What about you??

10 Day Challenge: Day 5

Welcome to day 5 of the challenge! Today's theme are blue nails(: Oh, and Jessica and I figured everybody would be busy shopping so we skipped posting yesterday :)

Blue is one of my favorite colors so the possibilities were endless. I decided to use one of my most favorite blue's of all time, OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui. Afterwards I added a thin coat of Bettina #189, a gorgeous shimmery blue packed with micro blue/green reflects. The end result was gorgeous! Then I stamped on this fun image on plate BM204 using a silver polish.

Overall I think it turned out really cute, what about you??

10 Day Challenge: Day 4

Today's challenge is animal print, I was originally going to do something using zebra stripes, but one of my Twitter followers, Robyn (AKA MsMidnightBlue) suggested something really cool... cow nails!

Just in case you don't know, these are supposed to be dairy cows! ^_^ It was my first time stamping with Wet N Wild Black Creme so it's a little messy :/

I started off with two coats of a generic white then stamped on this image from plate BM. Topped it all off with one coat of Pro-FX

Let me know what you think and Happy Thanksgiving!

10 Day Challenge: Day 3

Hi loves! I already did "Day 3" nails but I didn't like them so I decided to do them again. Is that cheating?? Oh well :P Also, in case you didn't know or forgot, today's challenge is book inspired nails!

So today's nails were inspired by Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender. I got the actual nail idea from Ihaveacupcake on Youtube. I absolutely love the Avatar series! I haven't read the books but I own all three seasons of the TV show. In fact, my whole family loves the TV show :) I saw the movie but I didn't really like it :/

Ok, so on the middle finger freehanded Aang's arrow and on the pinky I have the Airbending symbol. Since I suck at nail art (you would know that if you saw my first Day 3 attempt) I decided to use this stamp that semi looked like the symbol. I stamped each swirl one at a time and placed it on my pinky. I freehanded the blue french tips.

Here is the book cover and the symbol:

10 Day Challenge: Day 2

Hi! Welcome to day 2 of the 10 Day Challenge :) Today's theme is rainbow nails. Enjoy! :)

So I guess I took the "obvious" route and did actual rainbow nails. But I shook things up a bit so instead of the rainbow being "the rainbow" I did the background as the actual rainbow. I used a lot of different colors so I'll post a pic below.

I started off with a base coat and then I took my tiny dotting tool and slowly started dotting the stripes. They aren't as strait as I wanted but I still think they look nice. Afterwards I stamped on this fun rainbow image using a silver polish. Topped it all of with one coat of Pro-FX.

As promised, here is the picture. I'll post the names below(:

10 Day Challenge: Day 1

Hi! So I have some exciting news(: Jessica from Luv My Lacquer and I are teaming up to do the 10 Day Challenge together. Basically, it's the shorter version of the 30 Day Challenge, haha. And, for your convenience, I'll have the challenge list in the sidebar so you can view it whenever you want to. And since it's the first day, I'll post it below as well(: Also, all credit for the list and the challenge goes to Marketta at Pink Polish Addict, go check our her blog! She is doing the challenge as well with her own challenge buddies! :) Anyway, welcome to day 1! Pink nails!

I don't own many pinks so I don't have a lot to choose from. (I have about 4). Since I just wore two of my pinks recently, I decided to go with OPI The One That Got Away. A gorgeous fuchsia color packed with glassflecks! (I know it looks red but I promise, it's fuchsia...well... fuchsia red.) This is three thin coats.

Afterwards I stamped over it using a silver polish. And as promised, the list:

Anyways, I know they aren't that pink, but let me know what you think anyway! :)

Be sure to check out Jessica's take on pink nails(:
